How to create a link

  1. Open the Links page and click + New Link.
  2. Pick the sending platform (almost always esbconnect). The default is esbconnect, change it only if the campaign is going through Marketplace, Retargeting, or Oempro.
  3. Pick the brand from the dropdown. The form loads the brand's attribution settings automatically. A small summary card appears showing the brand's attribution mode and allowed destination domains.
  4. Pick the affiliate network in the chain, or Direct (no network) if the email links go straight to the brand site without an affiliate network. If you pick a network like AWIN, additional fields appear for the network's specific IDs (e.g. Merchant ID, Affiliate ID). Fill them in.
  5. Enter the destination URL โ€” the final page on the brand's site you want the recipient to land on. The host must match one of the brand's allowed destination domains. The form shows a green check once it matches.
  6. Look at the Destination parameters panel. Standard UTMs come pre-filled with sensible defaults for the brand. Toggle off any you don't want. Adjust values as needed. The esbconnect system parameters block at the top is informational only โ€” those are handled automatically.
  7. Check the Preflight checks on the right. Every blocker must be green before the Generate Link button activates. Most are obvious: the destination must include https://, the destination host must match the brand, required network fields must be filled in.
  8. Click Generate Link. A dialog appears with the final tracking link. Click Copy to Clipboard. Paste the link into your creative where the destination link belongs.
  9. The new link appears in the Links list on /links. You can copy it again from there, or open the row to see the full details.

That's the workflow. Five fields and a click.
